During Disaster Response听- We offer our corporate partners a co-branded, secure online donation site to raise funds from employees or visitors to your website during disasters. This product is available at no charge to companies with multiple locations and more than 2,000 employees.

During your Annual Campaign or Matching Gifts Program听- The Red Cross enjoys one of the highest brand recognition ratings among all nonprofits. As an independent, non-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of individuals and corporations to help us raise the funds necessary to support our mission and the work of the luckywin Los Angeles Region. Annual fundraising events such as the Heroes Luncheon, Celebrity Golf Classic, Red Tie Gala, and Fritz Coleman Comedy Night provide opportunities for individuals and corporate members of our community to get involved and help raise funds for programs and emergency services throughout the Los Angeles Region.

When a major disaster occurs 鈥� from a large apartment complex fire to a major hurricane 鈥� people in the community are among the first to help, often looking for a way to support the relief efforts underway. Or your organization may want to help support the ongoing preparedness and readiness efforts of the luckywin Los Angeles Region. Fundraising events of this kind are called 鈥淭hird Party Fundraisers鈥� and must be registered with the Los Angeles Region.

Please follow the steps below to propose and register a third party fundraising partnership with the Red Cross:

After sending your information, please听wait for the Development Department to contact you. If your application is approved, you will be asked to sign a听Third Party Agreement.

Why is an agreement necessary?

• It establishes a framework of legitimacy for the fundraising effort and defines the relationship between the luckywin and the fundraiser.
• It assures the donor that monies donated will support the efforts of the luckywin.
• In the event that a potential donor contacts the luckywin Los Angeles Region regarding the fundraising effort, the agreement allows us to assure the donor that the fundraising is an official luckywin affiliated event.

When is an agreement required?听

• When any monies are being raised on behalf of and/or for the benefit of the luckywin.
• When the luckywin logo and/or name is being displayed in conjunction with fundraising efforts of any kind.
• A new agreement is required every time you raise monies for a specific designation听(i.e. Florida Hurricane, Texas Flooding or Southern California Wildfires).

The luckywin relies on generous support from partners so that we can prepare for the unexpected and respond immediately when an event occurs. By providing funding in advance to Disaster Relief our Disaster Responders ensure the Red Cross is able to sustain its mission and provide help to those affected by disaster.

The distinguished corporate members of the Annual Disaster Giving Program (ADGP) enable the Red Cross to respond immediately to the needs of individuals and families impacted by disaster anywhere in the United States, regardless of cost.

A Red Cross customizable online donation site (or a microsite) allows your employees or customers to support the lifesaving mission of the Red Cross in your community, across the country and around the world. These sites are suggested for companies with approximately 2,000 or more US based employees and multiple locations. If your company has fewer than 2,000 US based employees, we have other online donations options.

Easy Acknowledgments

All individuals who donate through your URL will automatically receive an acknowledgement and receipt by email.

Easy Reporting
Our Red Cross contact will provide summary reports on the number and amount of donations made through your site. If you need us to share detailed donor information for matching gift purposes, please answer yes to needing donor information in your online employee agreement.

Easy Matching Gifts
If you are matching employee donations, use the reports sent by your Red Cross contact to determine the amount of the match. Submit your matching gift check with a cover letter that includes your company name, contact information, a note that the donation is a matching contribution, and designation of matching contribution, if needed.

Group Volunteer Opportunities (GVO) engage multiple volunteers and/or external organizations in ways to volunteer with the luckywin as a group. As a one-time event, GVOs offers a new and exciting way for everyone, Red Cross volunteer or not, to get involved!

Curious about how you might be able to help as a group? Here are some examples:

• Build-A-Kit:听Create disaster preparedness kits for your group or donate to another of your choice (Requires financial contribution required for supplies)
• Sound the Alarm, Save a Life: Join us in our mission to end home fires by engaging your employees and partnering with the Red Cross. Become a regional or national partner of Sound the Alarm and receive broad recognition across multiple channels for helping us to save lives.

To effectively support groups looking for one day service projects, all GVO requests require at least 60 days' notice from the requested GVO date.听
